The word somatics often gets lumped in with mysticism, pseudo-science, or abstract ideas.
But that’s not what it is.
Somatics is rooted in biology, physics, chemistry, anthropology, and evolution.
We’re just not reading textbooks — we’re experiencing those truths through the body.
Knowing something and living it are not the same.
The word “soma” comes from Greek and means living body.
Somatics uses anatomical knowledge, but not in the way medical school does.
It works with what is alive inside us — sensation, impulse, awareness.
Somatics bridges:
- the cognitive and the physical,
- thought and feeling,
- knowledge and embodiment.
It’s not about becoming mystical.
It’s about getting real with your living experience — and learning how to feel it.
